The folder structure on both the server and the NVMe drive is always 100% identical. For now, whenever I need to switch between desktop and laptop, I manually reassign the source for the proxy- and the source media. I have written myself a script that automatically always backs up my source and proxy files from the server to an NVMe thunderbolt drive (and the inverse if I ingest to the NVMe drive first). Due to the fact that we do a lot of on-site editing, I was chosen to also have a MacBook that I do remote editing on. This defaults to 24 fps, but ideally, you will change this to match the majority of your footage (such as 23.976 or 25 fps).
You will need to set your Timeline Frame Rate. Open Project Settings, which is the cog icon in the lower right of the interface. Their source and proxy files are backed up to a network share NVMe server that all editors are connected via 10Gig networking to (for anyone wondering, the owner is quite a baller, so he can afford it). From the Project Manager, select New Project. I've got a bit of a weird set-up: I'm editing on on a Mac Studio workstation for a smallish production studio that have all their projects cloud synced to all the machines.
